History
Some say this IS the signature hole. The view of the ranges as you head up the fairway is certainly spectacular -particularly on a sunny winters’ day.

Playing Notes by Chris Wilson & Cam Murray:
A ball missing the fairway will be in the tree line on either side of the fairway. The fairway runs off to the right-hand side and even a well hit drive down the centre can stray into the rough. Be sure to avoid hitting right with your second shot or you will find the hazard which is very close to the green.

Cam adds: in guarding against that shot you’ll often find yourself in the swale on the left with a tricky up and down approach. No wonder it’s the 2nd (men’s) and 3rd (women’s) shot hole.
